The 20th annual Library of Congress National Book Festival will be held virtually, September 25-27. Virtual author “stages,” like the author stages at past festivals, will accommodate the more than 120 authors, poets and illustrators participating in this year’s event. You can also visit the Virginia Center for the Book booth IN the National Book Festival, where we’ll have videos from Virginia Festival of the Book virtual events and downloadable resources for young readers!

The “Live Events By Stage” and “Live Events By Day” lists present opportunities to engage with some of your favorite authors in a live chat. Be sure to register on the National Book Festival platform in order to participate. Capacity on the platform is limited to 100,000 concurrent users; please consider logging in to the platform in advance of any live events you wish to attend.

The entire catalog of pre-recorded author conversations may be found under “Video On Demand.” On “Timely Topic Threads,” you can also browse the videos by themes –“Democracy in the 21st Century,” “Fearless Women” and “Hearing Black Voices.”

All videos are presented with captioning.
